Never click on links that come with short cryptic messages. Best to check with the sender or the "perceived sender" because it may be a phishing scam. My email accounts on Yahoo and Hotmail have sent emails out with links that I did not know anything about. Someone I know had a friend in the US lose money because they thought she had sent a request for money, when in fact the request had not come from her email address but from a similar-looking one. Be very wary of sending money without first using alternative and traditional means to contact the person you think is in need of help! Never open email attachments from unknown senders. If you do not know the sender, then it's best not to open the email because some viruses are so bad, it has been said that all you have to do is open the email for them to start. If you sign up for hotmail, put USA for country and you'll get some extra storage space!Whatever email account you choose to use, remember sometimes you will get spam or someone may hack into your account. Has not yet happened with Gmail or GMX for me though. More tips soon.
